Cleaning Wraps

I have WMP wrapped snare, it has some rust looking stains both around the badge and the lug casings. Can someone tell me what I should use to clean this off without hurting the wrap? I have read pages on stuff on here, and didn't really find a clean cut answer.

That is because there is no clean cut answer we are learning everyday new ways to restore old wraps just be carefull and try a few of the things you have read here...i too have WMP and it is a tough one to figure as there are so many different kinds..
