Cleaning Rusty Parts w/Walnuts & Polish!

Loading...

I wonder if you could seal parts in a bag with the polishing and cleaning stuff and toss them in the clothes dryer for a couple cycles... is that crazy??

I've done this plenty of times. Put your parts and media in a plastic bottle, like a heavy Gatorade bottle. Put that bottle in a large plastic ziplock baggie. Put that inside a sock and seal it with a rubber band (this keeps the noise down somewhat). Turn on the dryer without heat and wait.

Sooo, I asked for powder rouge to put in my tumbler and got the blocks that you use with a buffing wheel. should I just toss a block into the tumbler?? is there actual powder out there or are you all using these blocks?
