Cleaning lugs

I recently came across this drum in an antique store. I want to refurbish it. What's the best way to clean the lugs? I tried some turte wax chrome cleaner and polish.

I've posted some pictures of the lugs as well.

Looks like a late 50s drum with nickel hardware. I'd suggest 'Cape Cod Cloths', most other products don't do much to bring out the shine of nickel.

I agree with tillerva...Cape Cod cloths should do the trick...
