Cleaning Butcher Block Wrap

Doing a deep clean on a Rogers butcher block kit. Is it the same as doing a cleaning on a sparkle wrap? After I clean with Simple Green should I polish with Novus 2?

Butcher Block is the same stuff as countertop laminate (Formica). I'd look into using whatever is recommended for cleaning those surfaces.
