Clamp-on spurs and tom basket sources?

Hi all! Hi all. Just picked up a Radio King set that I need clamp on bass spurs for, and some way of supporting the floor tom. A 14" basket'd be great, maybe some properly vintage looking leg brackets, like Clubdates, or something. He's currently using a snare stand. I can't imagine getting low enough that way. Anybody got favorite sources? Thanks, Bill D.

Danmar makes a hoop mounted bass drum spur that works well. I've seen them offered through Precision Drum (the drum wrap people). As far as the floor tom, I wouldn't drill for leg brackets, that'll kill any value to the drum. Originally they used a low basket type stand for the floor toms on the RKs, but these are very rare and pricey these days. You might looking into a RIMS mounting system for the floor tom. Those connect the same way a rack tom one does, to the tension rods, and they use traditional floor tom legs.

I have a set of the old little clamp on Slingerland legs. They aren't the ones that are long, They just clamp on near the bottom of the bass drum hoop and stick out about 2" or so. One has been repaired, but they both work. Let me know if you might be interested. I might even have an OLD school slingerland snare stand you should keep with the set. I don't have any old slingerlands right now.

Thanks, Ryan

here are the Danmar spurs: http://www.drumfactorydirect.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_107_80&products_id=5515

the rubber tips come off to reveal pointed tips.

i second the idea of using a floor tom cradle. although, your tom looks like a 6-lugger, and these are made for 8-lug drums.

here is a 14" 6-lug iso mount, but you would need to use a stand. http://www.drumfactorydirect.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=6_105_77&products_id=6073

I have 14" 15" & 16" Concert toms I use as floor toms on one of my kits in different variations, and I got a Tama low floor tom stand and put Rims on the concert toms. It is a 4 legged stand and is nice. One side of the tom holder will even raise up. If you can find a rims or similar mount for a six lugger.

Works great!
