Just an update on this set.

I patched the holes in the bass drum and got some hoops and heads for the toms.

I also got some hoops for the bass drum but they need refinishing.

They look pretty good so far. Walking

If you hit those meticulously crafted patches with just the right tint in one coat of some sort of Minwax product...I put their polyurethane on totally un-prepped inlay wrap and it's really great. We're talking small areas here...I think you could make those patches disappear.

Either way, champagne sparkle Rogers, love em.

Hey!!!

You know that's not a bad idea.

Some of the finish I use on my custom drums is clear but has a slight brown tint to it.

I may experiment with that some. Walking

Yeah thanks, I got the new hoops sanded and sprayed today.

I also have some t-rods and claws on the way.

And some inlay strips. Party

Here's a closer shot of the repair.

I am thinking about re-doing the odd shaped one.

I could round it out some more and try it again.

It would probably look better.

From a couple feet back you can't tell. Walking

Also my "QuickSteel" epoxy repair on the tom mount is still holding.

I played them all weekend. D' Drummer
