My Acrolite doesn't have the R circle and has serial number, date stamped April 7th 1971..
My '76 Supra has serial number and R circle.. Stamp is long gone.. Don't know if that helps.. :confused:

Would you share with me the details about your April 7 1971 Acrolite? Serial number, type of throw (likely P85 with black face and 12 holes) etc...

I have an very mint one dated June 17 1970 with a blank pointy badge & 12 hole P-85.
Just one minor scratch on it by the throw off. I attached some pics.
No circled R over the G in Ludwig either.
