circa 1926 LUDWIG & LUDWIG SUPER-LUDWIG 4 x 15 WHITE ENAMEL INSPIRATION CONCERT DANCE

Hi,

I’ve had this drum in my restoration queue for sometime so it was time to clean up this puppy.

circa 1926 LUDWIG & LUDWIG SUPER-LUDWIG 4 x 15 WHITE ENAMEL INSPIRATION CONCERT DANCE MODEL (cat. #236)

HISTORY:

The Inspiration Super-Ludwig Model was introduced around 1926. Some of the options were gold plating, DeLuxe plating (simulated gold plating), white enamel or black nickel shell.

THE SHELL:

The heavy brass 2-pc. shell is in great shape with no dents or dings. The white enamel cleaned and polished up nicely. There are the normal 90 year old dings to the paint but overall the shell looks good for its age.

THE HARDWARE:

The overall condition of the DeLuxe hardware is pretty good with the normal areas of tarnish and wear. The tension rods are always the worse for wear on DeLuxe drums since they are made of steel. Everything else cleaned and polished up well. The original gut snares are in very good shape.

Of-the-era Ludwig calf heads rounded out this restoration.

Enjoy!

What a time loop , imagine the jazz player brushing this beauty.

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
