Chrome/clean/polish

Along the lines of Never Dull, I have used Cape Cod cloths with good success. Works especially well on Nickel plating. For serious gunk like tape residue I use Goof Off or De-Solv-It (both orange-based cleaners) which break up the gummy stuff quickly...plus it smells OK. Jeff

This is why I use rubbing compound. It usually takes off everything without having to go to multiple products.

I use Mequire's Cleaner Wax on all my chrome. Works nice on stands and it's not a pain to work with.

I don't know of any real easy ways to clean any chrome, it all takes time, elbow grease, sore fingers, and more time!!! Although Jonnistix's newest revelation with the auto brush tool sounds like something worth a shot if you do lots of shining.

You buy the stuff at any Advance Auto or Napa Auto or basically anywhere you can buy brake shoes for your ride.Car Driving2 Look for the products that are for cleaning chrome wheels and it will shine up your drums too!! Everyone has their particular favorite but I usually buy whatever is on sale to be honest as I haven't seen a big difference. I have Eagle One stuff now, it is a green paste in a small plastic can. Wipe it on, rub it in really good, let it haze, wipe it off. Yup..I think it was on sale. I was working on a spot on my Exploder. I've had around the garage for along time, and I do a lot of chrome. I guess the point is the same. I use the least expensive of the compounds as well. The Meguire's is hi-dolla..so I use the T/W. And I picked this little j ewel of a tool back then as well, just found it a couple of weeks ago and decided to give it a whirl in the paste. Works great for 95% of the stuff. I also found the neatest little battery charger at Mal-Mart ($5 including 2 new rechargables) that plugs into my USB port and will charge all types of batteries-non-rechargable ones included-so keeping it going is a breeze. Just don't forget they are there, and burn them upCool Dude.
