I believe the floor tom leg mount spacing changed in 1958, 59 or so, when they went to the push button type, which later became a screw to tighten.

Also, why is the term NOB (Nickel over brass) used in reference to lugs? I've seen quite a few of the streamline, sound king and beavertail lugs and they all appear to be made of what is generally called "pot metal", some form of zinc alloy.

NOP anyone?

NOB is correct terminology for brass hoops
