European - the obvious guess being Sonor as indicated by the Slotted tension rods.

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

I`ve seen that throw on a few Premier snares. For sure. But not sure about the lugs. Is it yours ? Is that brushed Stainless Steel or Aluminum? (magnet)

Can you get more pics. ?

I'm gonna guess Hayman/Carlton.

60's Sonor Teardrops & 70s Premier AMs
Sabian
Vic Firth
Remo/Evans

It looks like a Premier Hifi to me that has had more modern hoops and lugs added!

The damper and badge holes are as found on Premier as is the snare throw and slotted tension rods.

The throw and rods look old but the lugs and hoops are far newer from those pics.

I also think the chrome has been removed from the shell and it has been given a brushed finish.

You're looking at a 1970s Hindle & Heely drum, it's on their page:

http://ukdrums.weebly.com/shaftesbury-1971-76.html

http://ukdrums.weebly.com/1970s-shatesbury-pace-setter.html

The shell is aluminium, the lugs can also be found in Rose Morris stuff (part of the same company really). The throw-off is not original, it's a Premier - I found this was common at the time, since there were problems with the original throw-off (very grindy, jams, the middle part bent easily etc).

I read about it in another forum - people say it sounds really warm yet crisp, due to aluminium and a very deep snarebed (about 5mm). As to its value... I really don't know.

Rose Morris was eventually purchased by Premier.
