Check Out This Rogers Swivo Bass Pedal

Hey guys,

I have the same pedal that`s worn the same as this one.I hadn`t seen another one with this much wear until this one and i know there are many out there. They were built to last and that they have.My point here is how much shoe leather and time to wear the footboard down this much and how many pedal srokes(one million, two million,10 million ?) Just speaking from my personal useage of my swivo,it took me 15 yrs.(10 of these yrs.on the road playing full weeks),to wear mine down this much. Now we all know how deep the Rogers logo and lines on these footboards go so that`s alot of shoe leather!Mine even wore on the heal plate as this one has.Other than replacing two heal plate screws and a few leather staps mine`s still going strong.A great pedal for sure with speed, balance, smooth stoke and durability-very user friendly!Any of you guys worn a swivo down this much or any pedal for that matter?

Wow, I bought a pair of Swivo pedals in 1975 and they still show very little wear to this day. Of course, I used to play in rubber-soled Converse sneakers back in those days. This guy must have had soles made out of steel wool.

... and that is EXACTLY right! I was going to comment that I have been playing my ORIGINAL Swivo pedal for close to 15 years straight now, and it looks PERFECT. Reason? Rubber soles! Just happens to be what I have always preferred. That said, yeah... just WHAT were that guys soles made of??!! I want to add that my model Swivo has the roller bearings, thus... clean/lube from time to time, a new leather strap TWICE in 15 years... and two springs. That's it! It is the smoothest pedal I have ever played... and still is!

Tommy-i mainly played with leather soles on my shoes in those days when i used my swivo full time and that must have been the difference why mine wore down the same way this guys has.He must have also worn leather soles all the time when he played.Interesting to know that rubber soles and sneakers made all the difference in wear on these pedals as opposed to leather. What amazes me is how leather can and will slowly wear down metal over a long period of time and how many foot pedal strokes to do this(millions).I have two swivos and the other one shows no wear but the one i used on the road looks just like this one pictured here.I too love my swivos-best pedals ever IMHO.
