Dropped him a note as well. Tried to play to his reputation as a seller with the crap he is listing as Vintage. Wonder how he will respond.

I'm fairly new at this eBay stuff..........please pardon my ignorance....what is a SNAD?? And..........wow, some pretty funky sales attempts going on out there. This is a great Forum. Love it

SNAD= Significantly Not As Described.

This is one of the tools scammers are now using to steal from people on ebay as well. All you do is order something and pay for it with paypal. Once you get the item, you file a SNAD with paypal, buy a return ticket through UPS, FedEx, USPS and then send the tracking numberr to paypal. They "investigate foir about 2.4 seconds, and give the buyer all of the moniws back. Now here is the kicker: You bought a 3500 Dynasonic, and you sent a box with a rock back to the seller. They get screwed, you get a free Dyna, and there is nothing the seller can do to you because paypal and ebay won't hear you, or care if you got ripped off. Cool Huh? I think I'm going to do it to pOOder2..just for fun doncha know...

Thanks Jonnistix - It sounds like the world of eBay/paypal is significantly in favour of the buyer - is that right? It must be 'hell' sometimes for legit sellers.

I can't believe the idiot still has it up there. I mean, several of us have tried to inform this dick that he is selling a lie....

I wouldn't worry about it. Only the unknowledgable would be stupid enough to buy it for that price. The rest of us can just sit back and laugh at the idiot selling it (or at least attempting to sell it! LOL!)
