Cell phone Headphones?

I have a Samsung G5 - good phone - and the ear phones have walked away. I'm at BestBuy now and I'm looking at Sony over-the-ear, Bose and a few other brands. They all look good and the Black Friday sales are still on.

Those of you with lots of experience with both types.....what is better over the ear or in ear and is Sony good/bad and why. The selection seems a bit daunting. I'm going to be only using them for playing drums......via downloaded music on my phone. I'm leaning towards the Bose in ear for now.

Gary I use the sony MDR V 600 They're not made anymore I think? also a little expensive, go try a couple on at the store.

I went to the local music store and bought some Vic Firth headphones. The drum guy there uses them and likes em.
