Cassidy's *new* MIJs

Loading...

Just finished up this MIJ "restore" for Cassidy. They'll get boxed up and shipped up north Monday or Tuesday.

Rescued the 22/13/12 from a garage in SE Kansas. Originally blue sparkle but has some serious fading (which originally I thought was just a heavy layer of dust that would clean off) and no floor tom, so they got rewrapped in a maple PSA veneer. The floor tom is made from the "remains" of a 12x16 Slingerland TDR marching drum, redrilled for Pearl style lugs to match the rest.

Also, a newer Pearl style 7/8" tom mounting system installed.

Another thank you to Bill... I finally had the chance to really play the drums last night. We had a 3-hour practice and the drums got a ton of compliments from the band... and they're LOUD! I actually used the mufflers on the toms and used some tape on the bass (and a Yamaha snare) to bring them down a bit.

I'm very pleased with them and highly recommend Bill's "Reborn Rockers" to anyone...
