One of my favorite Drummers back in the late 60's early 70's. Carl before his Emerson Lake & Palmer fame.

Uh....dai-yum....now that'll make ya feel small, won't it? Yes Sir
Nice clip!
Palmer was great on the first Atomic Rooster album, but it's not one of their greatest and the only one he played on. Paul Hammond, though obviously not Palmer's equal in a head-to-head, was nevertheless a completely underrated drummer and I actually prefer him and what he does on Death walks Behind You In the Hearing of....
Ho-ho- hold on a bit.... This clip is not from the Atomi Rooster days, but definete from the ELP haydays. I think it is the German BeatClub-recording from 1971. At the end of the clip you here the first bar of the basstheme in Rondo - a son Atomic Rooster never played.
Also the gong-rig was never used in Atomic Rooster. I think this is Palmer's first Ludwig-kit, the one he had before the "Get me a Ladder"-tur in 1973/1974.
Anyway - this is NOT an Atomic Rooster-clip.

Yeah, this is the bonus material from the Atomic Rooster Anthology DVD - there's not a great deal of Rooster Footage, so they stuck and early ELP solo on, cos Palmer was in Rooster - though he doesn't feature anywhere else on the DVD. Still, nice treat if you're a Rooster fan and a drummer!
Carl is God. I've met him three times. Didn't have a g-dam thing to say to him, LOL.
