hi guys, thanks for the comments. i actually forgot i posted this. ive been pretty occupied here the past month or so. my moms health is going more down hill and ive been very busy with her. anyway...
thanks for sharing your photo too john. i remember when you were working on that kit. you did a great job on it. cool litl kit. your grandson is a lucky litl guy.
blake was/is so excited over this kit. i had to go over to his house a cupl times so he could show off for me. the boy has potentual. his mom is gonna look into getting him into lessons after the hollidays n bad weather. wish i was good enough to teach him myself but i'm not. i have shared with him what i do know so far, and will keep giving him pointers. i told him he needs to come over and sit down at a kit with me and we'd play together. i still got two kits set up in the band room.
was very touching for me and his dad when blake reacted the way he did receiving these drums. he could care less what name was attached to them, all that mattered to him was he got a drum set for his birthday and that it had belonged to his aunt robyn. he has plenty of time to learn the different brands and develope his own oppinion of which is the best or worse and in time, that, he will do. now is the time to teach him the respect of the instrument and meaning of being a good musician. but dont worry guys...he'll be a ludwig lover, i'll make sure of that ;)
