Look pretty close, huh? Instead of trying to clean up those old, rusty 40 year old rims why not buy these? Thanks.
Cannon rims for vintage Ludwigs?

I do. And they work just like the rusty old ones! They hold the head right where I put it!

It's not that big of a deal until you go to sell the kit to Mr. Bipkis M. Collector. Smoke billows playfully about his head as he studies your kit with the tiny vacant eyes of a Pig-Footed Bandicoot. He clicks his tongue and tsks tsks, all the while pawing and poking and prodding away with little more to go on than the "sniff sniff" of a well-seasoned buyer. Finally, he takes a long drag on his imported cigar, blows smoke in your face, and chuckles "pseudo-rim" under his breath. That's when you realize it's going to be a long and drawn out negotiation session. You will lose your shirt.
OR ...
You could just ebay the kit to some young rascal who is in love with Tre Cool and wouldn't know a Ludwig rim from a Slingerland rim from a Rogers rim.
Either way, it's all good.
LOL and I can't stop - you are truly a gifted satirist and right on the money! Thanks again.

But..... many of the older drums had brass hoops, not steel. Some say there is a tonal difference. My ears are not seasoned enough to discern such a difference....
