Can you help me identify this Pearl Snare Drum?

Loading...

Hi All,

I recently bought a second hand Pearl Export kit which included this 14" x 8" Snare drum. Although I have quite a few old Pearl drum catalogues, I cannot identify the model of this particular snare drum. Any assistance would be appreciated.

The badge says: Pearl, made in Japan and the serial number is: 230898.

The wood looks remarkably like Maple. The strainer and lug casings look reminicent of a mid-late 1980's model (MLX?) but again, not sure.

I have posted a few pics to help you assist me. I look forward to your comments/feedback.

Thanks

Grant

Hiya,

Thanks for this. looks like it was from the 80's era according to this catalogue. It definately is 8 ply and the lugs are the same configuration as the ones in the pic.

Thanks for your help!
