Can vintage snare wires be repaired?

I am wanting to keep this Auditorium as original as possible. Is it possible to fix/straighten these snare wires? Is it worth it? What is the best replacement?

You can see the kink in wire 5th from the left.

Under tension they sound fine - does it really make a difference?
