Can anyone identify this strainer?

Loading...

Hi all,

I was just curious if anyone has seen a strainer with this configuration?

Three holes ( which to me is strange , what does the center hole do)

and it is the same hole pattern as a Ludwig P83/85 strainer.

Lever mechanism does look like Ludwig.

Thoughts?

Looks like the main part is a Ludwig P83 and the slider from a Slingerland Rapid strainer.

Thanks Thin shell,

You are right on, I couldn't find what the slider came from and did not know but of course the knowledge here is amazing and I do believe you are correct.

It is currently on a 60's Camco 10x14 snare.

Thanks again,

Wayne

+1 with thin shell. Slingerland used that three hole slider for more than three decades.

Just a guess on the purpose of the center hole... Bring the ends of the strings from each of the outside holes through the center hole. Then, tie the knot to join those two ends in the center of the slider

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
