If i blow up the pic it looks like the fading where the foil badge wasn't an oval shape. I'm looking at a list of MIJ badges and there are less choices with squarish badges. Del Rey or Prestige maybe or Hoshino. I'm just guessing though...Nice price. I owned Bolleros with that were Pearl-made that had several of the same characteristics.

1964 Ludwig Champagne Super Classic
1970 Ludwig Blue Oyster Super Classic
1977 Rogers Big R Londoner 5 ebony
1972/1978 Rogers Powertone/Big R mix ebony
60's Ludwig Supersensitive
Pearl B4514 COB snare ( the SC snare)
Pearl Firecracker
PJL WMP maple snare
Odds & Sods

Sabians, Paistes, Zildjians, Zyns, UFIPs, MIJs etc

longjohn--I'm thinking maybe Pearl stencil ?..Maybe Valencia outfit ?

Single tension lugs and the slightly curved telescoping spurs at the tips gives me an indication.. Emailed the seller asked if he could give me the brand name from the badges, which unfortunately aren't visible .. I'll find out soon enough. ;)

Yes I'd say you are correct... Tom mount as well looks Valencia "ish" Good price if you manage to score them...

Cheers

Kenwood-- It does look like your kit..But with no badge pics i can't tell..

funkypoodle-- I did the same..searched vintage drum guide and the internet, but still not sure.. Does look like a sweet deal..

But now it's official..When i mentioned to my wife that i would consider this kit, she said, and i quote " I will never believe you again when you say that you're finished buying vintage drum kits.." LOL ! But at this price, why the heck not ? Cheers for all the input guys !

longjohn-- Thanks for the response.. it does look like a good score, doesn't it ?. ;)

one in sort of a champagne (beach sand) sparkle the other in orange sparkle

both of those kits have round "Ralston badges"

To me your set is from the late 60's,made by Pearl the tom mount floor tom leg mounts ete tells me it's a Pearl set..As far as the name Pearl used over 100 names on the set's they made..A close-up photo of the air hole might give a clue of the badge that was on the drum...Mikey
