I recently switched from vintage Gretsch to vintage Camco. What a difference. Camco build quality is noticeably superior and they sound amazing.

In my opinion, the"Oaklawn" Camco drums made in the plant on 95th Street in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Were the best drums to ever wear the name tag of Camco. I have been close to only one set of George Way drums. So, I don't know for sure which one of those two brands with those beautiful Art Deco round lugs was the best. I loved my 1965 Camco Blue Sparkle set. Here they are on stage opening for Eric Burdon & the Animals and the Turtles (white stage clothes) and opening for The Association (dark blazers).
No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

Didn't Ronn Dunnett revive the old George Way brand several years ago?
