I have an early Camco snare that has the Economy Strainer, but the knurled extension is broken off.
I purchased another strainer to replace it, but there are obvious differences.
The lever on the strainer that came with the drum has a longer lever, and the base has a machined recess around the screw hole.
The one I recently purchased has a short lever, and no recess in the base. It also has more of a bevel around the edge of the face, and the circular groove in the face is more narrow. I also notice the bottom of the short lever arm is square, while the long lever arm is slightly rounded off.
Looking at the Camco catalog pages here on this site, I notice that all the strainers depicted look like the one with the short lever, but it is hard to tell from the catalog illustrations.
Camco experts, tell me what I have here. Why the difference in the strainers?
