Oh Im always kidding around, I am a joke just ask my wife. I dont take any of the comments from the other thread offensive. Everyone should have their input, the comments made about carpenters and cabinetmakers came from a serious Camco lover who just wants the best repair man for those drums thats all.
Back to the project, I decided to not paint the inside of the shell, just the repaired parts. So now all I have left is cutting some inlay from my ebay wrap for the Camco hoop that Bob found for me. Then installing my new beautiful COB hoops on the toms. The snare will take some time, I need to have an adjustment knob machined. Just need size and specs on the knob and were off and running.

Well Mitch, here is a new picture. sorry its taken inside but its dark out right now, he he.
Had some time today to cut the inlay from that old Gretsch wrap and fit it into the Camco hoop. Actually used the table saw to rip the 1/2" inlays, it worked very good. Then I just used double sided carpet tape to adhere the inlays into the groove, that also seems to work well. So for now the base drum is complete, all I have left is to install my new cob hoops on the toms and were done. Still need a couple parts for the 12 but they will have to wait. Il take a pic when I get the kit together then we can end this long dragged out thread.

Those pictures are stunning, tungsten illumination notwithstanding lol. You really repaired the crap outta that drum! I can imagine ripping inlay on the table saw, once you get it dialed in, would *really* work, like, a perfect cut. Double-sided tape is awesome too...

Jeff can you go into detail how you ripped the inlays on the table saw please? Did you use a wood base or tape it down on something? Need to do the same here and can use a table saw at Dan's. BTW great job on the bass man. Detail and time you took to get things just right.....wow.
