Camco Oaklawn Burgundy Set

Loading...

This is a real nice original Camco Oaklawn Burgundy Sparkle drum set. The sizes are 20-12-14 5X14 snare. The drums are in excellent shape only missing the FT legs & the BD legs. The snare is 6 ply have not checked out the others, but I believe that the drums are from the mid 60's. This would be a Casino Outfit I believe.

Mike:

I've never seen a kit of yours that doesn't look flat out "mint"!Bowing

This particular kit is no exception. I have no idea how you keep coming up with these but I must say that I'm extremely jealous!

Since I'm a fellow Michigander, perhaps one day I can pay for a "tour" of your vintage drum museum.

Just wondering ------ Is the snare drum in your kit a 4 1/2 x 14?

Again, THANKS for sharing!

Thanks,

I have a lot of catching up to do! This was a lucky steal/ pick up for me. Spontaneous and well worth the follow up. They were at a local guitar center and the drum manager had asked a friend of mine about the drums, so I had advanced notice I guess. The very same time that I called the store there was a caller from out of state going to buy them. While I was waiting on hold the manager came back on the line & said that the guy hung up because they did not want to ship them without his buying cases to ship them in. So I was fortunate to get the drums, I went down there within the hour to pick them up.

OldSchool I am up for it, we can get together sometime. I am out on the west side.

BTW, thanks Vintagemore - I think the snare is 5 X 14 but I will measure it to be sure.

Mike, another sweet kit to add to the collection. You are correct, that is a Casino Outfit. My kit has the tom post making it the Nick Ceroli outfit which later became the Astro Outfit.
