This is a black lacquer Camco LA snare drum with gold colored coated hardware from the mid to late 1970's.

Thanks for the comments AZBill & Kevins.

I got that snare from a long time Camco collector/ Drummer / & friend to match a Camco LA black lacquer bop set that I bought at the Chicago Drum Show this year. I think that there is a picture of the set in the thread at the top of the Vintage forum - Chicago Drum Show 2009. It really completes the set now with the snare and the hardware to match.

There either are or just were a small number of gold-plated Camco lugs up on ebay. Might be worth picking up - you never know.....
