I think they're gorgeous and worth every penny. Vintage drums are under-valued, in my opinion, compared to other vintage instruments. Imagine how much an equivalent vintage guitar would sell for. L.A. Camcos are awesome, and this color has no equal.
I agree, vintage drums are way undervalued and this kit is not only a beauty it's extremely rare since the mid 70s focus on drum kits was at the other end of the spectrum. I would imagine the only Bop kits Camco sold at that time were special order.
I also believe some of the problem of vintage drums being so undervalued is the disrespect so many drummers have had towards these instruments. Throwing them into the backs of vans without cases, drilling in Pearl mounts, and on, and on, and on...I watched it all as a teenager in the 70s.
Very, very few of the generation before me, 77 million of them to be exact, had no respect what so ever towards these drums that everyone now covets. They effect every market they touch and this one is no different...When the last of the boomers are dying off is when these vintage drums will start sky rocketing...
