Camco Chanute Kansas 24,16,13

Hi VDF,

A couple of months ago I picked up this Camco Chanute set.

I would have liked to keep them original but the Walnut finish had seen much better days so I decided to refinish them.

I stripped the shells down to the bare maple and re-stained them.

Afterwards I applied 4 coats of semi-gloss polyurethane varnish.

Thank you Roger (slingalud) for the single tom-arm!

They sound amazing!!!

I would like to add a snare to it so if somebody has a 6-ply Jasper 6,5” Camco shell for sale, please let me know.

I applaud the refinishing decision. They were beyond retaining in their former condition and the work you have done resulted in a stunning restoration. I would take these to any Ford Motor Car show and let the judges at 'em. Yes Sir
