1973 Fullertons. With a bit of work on the rusting and pitting, re-cutting the bearing edges, and acquiring the missing hardware, you'd have a nice player set there. 22-13-14-18FT, correct? Odd that those tom sizes wouldn't have been paired with a 24" bass.Good luck on the restoration, or if you want to save yourself all that time and work, you can just sell the four drums to me for $240 and double your money;).Nice acquisition regardless of the somewhat convoluted dealings with the seller.Mike

You are correct on the sizes McHair;

as far selling back to you .... I dreamed of a Rogers White Marine Pearl since I was 7 years old in Italy.

That is what my plan is for now. However if things changes you bet I'll give you first crack at it

You mean like this?....

I understand completely, and forgive me for tempting you to sell. I used Jammin Sam's WMP for the rewrap on the above kit. You might want to also check out Precision's WMP. Both are close in "chip" size to the original Rogers WMP. Your 18FT is going to require two pieces of wrap, because I don't believe anyone's making a 58" length of WMP.

Best of luck to you when you start this project, and we'll patiently wait for the results and pics.

Ho yes. !!!! That is it.....

That is a beauty !!!

Thank you for providing the name of the supplier for the wrap.

Incidentally my bass drum it is indeed 24" it did not look as such because I was optically comparing to the rest of the tom which are oversize ( 18, 14, 13)

100 bux. and you offer 90. I wonder if you would try to get a buck refund on the winning powerball ticket.....

Lol I think I would have offered him $120 to hold it.

You see a 2005 Corvette for sale (needs a little work) and they are asking $300. You try to get it for $270.

It's a wonder you were able to get it at all for under $400 IMHO. When they are asking so little and you STILL try to talk him down - it's as if you are messing with him......like torturing a fly before you kill it.

OK, I'm done giving you grief! Sorry, just blew me away that you shot that $90 offer to him when it is worth at least 4 times that.

Any cymbals with the deal - perhaps worth way more than 4 bills?

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!

Drummerjhon;

The very first thing I said in my O.P. was " I really do not know much about Roger" and from the picture I was not sure if indeed it was. I actually was looking for spare parts. Call it beginner luck that i got it, however, when I made that offer, the guy had already sold the set to someone. I guess the set had my name on it anyway lol. the kit has zildjan Hi-Hat (Bottom one was switched with top cause some cracks)

A zildjan crash ( with Crack) a Zildjan ride which seems to be ok, a Rock& Sock Throne, a Ghost Kick Pedal.

Also the kit has all the collect nose spread-out, the toms, which have no bottom head have issue with the leading edge which need to be re-cut..

So there will be some $$ to be spend

Hello Folks;

It has been a while but finally I'm al;most done with my restoration.

There are few little things I need to still complete ( i.e. looking for a 16" matching floor tom) but i can say with satisfaction that I have accomplished what I set out to do.

So , as promised, I'm giving you a quick peek of my new toy.

Very pretty! Those cleaned up nicely. Great job. It shouldn't be hard to find a 16" Fullerton FT in Ebony. Keep your eyes open; they pop up every so often. It's the 18" and 20" FT's which you don't see every day. The toms on my Ebony Fullerton kit are 8-10-12-13-14-15 16FT 20FT, so I'm always on the lookout for a good 18FT in Ebony to complete the line-up.

Welcome to the Rogers club. Now all you have to do is replace that Slingerland snare with a Dynasonic.Yes Sir

Thank you..

My eyes have been on a black 16" and a Dyna or Power tone snare for sometimes. Came across few Dyna and P.T. but prices were very steep and needed some work. But patience is what I got a lot of, money a little less.

I was planning to re-wrap in MWP but I decided to keep it this way for now. Maybe after I'm done with my Luddy restoration will consider a re-wrap.
