calf heads

Loading...

Has anyone made their own flesh hoop to wrap a calf head on? I want to put calf heads on my slingerlands, but i'm not trying to spend an over inflated price for original calfheads that 90% of the time have a little hole or rips or I don't want to play because it's original. New skins aren't too expensive but I have no rims to do a tuck job.

Yes, get Matt's opinion. He makes all types of reproduction calfskins for historic rope-tension drums, and he even makes those egg-shaped Trixon Speedfire heads, so if anyone could give you advise about flesh hoops, he could.
