Cadillac Green 1950s Gretsch singles?

I have a Cadillac Green Gretsch single and I've posted it here a few times.

I thought it would be of interest to see how many of these 'singles' or pairs (?) are out there.

If you have one, two or even three that once belonged to a 50s Cadillac Green set please share photos and/or stories.

Some more photos.

My story:

I picked up my drum on eBay about 8 years ago. The seller bought it at an estate sale in Pennsylvania. It was unadvertised at that sale and the seller had no more information about the drum.

When I contacted him he said the finish looked unaltered (factory) and that the hardware was definitely spray painted gold. This was provided to me before I bid on it. I knew.... from the catalogs at least.... that Cadillac Green drums in the 50s were only sold with gold plated hardware. I thought that someone could have removed the original hardware or just painted over worn original gold hardware. Either way I took a chance and put my maximum bid high enough that if someone did outbid me I would feel I gave a good effort. I was a bit nervous about the painted hardware haha. I took the drum to a ***eler and he confirmed that there was gold plating under a lug. He advised me how to remove the paint without damaging the gold plating.

I use the drum with my 59 gold sparkle set sometimes... switching out the 8x12 tom.

I'm curious, what was located where the hole is now showing?

Will be interesting to see if a virtual set can be assembled.

From Dan Boucher

In the photo above... the hole is a closeup of where I removed a lug. It shows the finish and ply. It may be a useful photo for someone that wants to see that.

I removed all the hardware to remove the gold spraypaint that was covering the gold plating.

If you look at the closeup photo of the lug hole above you can see a white layer between the ply and finish. The Cadillac Green lacquer was applied to a clear pyralin wrap. Some of these Cadillac Green finishes had a whitish mesh under the clear Pyralin wrap.... as appears to be the case with my drum.
