c. '71 Ludwig 22x14 Bass Drum Spur Mount Holes

Loading...

Hi,

Just getting back into doing some work on cleaning up my kit (originally introduced here). The holes where the bass drum spur mounting brackets were fitted are a mess, and I'd like to clean them up. I found another post on this forum here which I think shows the way the holes 'should' look for my drum. Just wondering if anyone has any measurements for them, and also any (helpful) suggestions for how to get from what I've got to what I want?

Would turning the drum upside down and drilling fresh holes be the way forward?

I'm not worried about resale value, just the drums playing their best...

DON"T drill extra holes!

Just put the original brackets back on,and with the metal backing plates, you should be fine.
