Bye bye my sweet Ludwig…

Loading...

Been too sad to post lately but here I go. Last Thursday my beloved friend of 13 and a 1/2 years said his last good bye to this world. Ludwig my Cocker Spaniel. He was always with me on my shop guarding me and giving me companion. I know this is a drum forum but his name and his long life relation with a vintage drum lover made me to share with the community a picture of him. I have em now on the back of my patio. close to an orange tree that will blossom for him every year. I miss you Ludwig. We'll meet again some sunny day…

We can see that Ludwig was a handsome guy. It's always hard when you lose a companion like Ludwig...been there a couple of times. I'm one of those that say, "If they don't allow dogs in heaven then I want to go where they go."

Family members are always a hard loss. Our furry ones are especially hard to lose.

I feel your loss as I put my cocker spaniel down same color he made 17 years a long life memory is what we have left ...

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. My heart aches for you. I can't handle the loss of any pet. I cried when my ferret had to be put down and still miss her. We now have three stray cats. I am dreading the day when anything happens. Again, my deepest sympathies.

Brian

Just a drummer who loves all things about vintage drums! Nothing more, nothing less.
