Buying drums could be hereditary Last viewed: 10 hours ago

My 11 year old son came home with this First Act kit that he bought off a classmate.

He bought with $50 of his own money.

He's starting young!

Literally his 'First Act' as a drum collector. You know he's not going to stop with the First Act kit. He'll be looking to upgrade soon enough!

You must be proud!

John

Too many great drums to list here!

Fantastic!! I saved and saved for my first set also! I was about 12 years old. Saved $300 for a Percussion Plus!

Haha that's funny.

He'll probably now go on a discussion forum for kids under 15 and ask the opinions of others, ie., "I was at school today and came home with this kit. Not exactly sure what I got but I bought the whole lot just for the snare. My girlfriend isn't gonna be happy...." :)

... hold on UPS is here. I needed to go sign for a package.

He could also start having stuff delivered to ... work ... I mean school. ;)

Brilliant Idea. I have to give my sons some money, tell them what I want them to buy so when the wife asks me, I say "the boys bought that, not me". Nice touch starting with the First act, but I imagine he will somehow start showing up with highend vintage drums. You're a genius DionneDrummer!

It's in the genes I think... My son is primarily a guitarist.. however yesterday he posted this pic of his developing snare collection.. He uses these mainly in the studio but of late has also been gigging behind the kit.

Cheers

John
