Never mind the fact that Buddy played Ludwig in the 80's

not Slingerland.

Never let the truth get in the way of a sale!

Not to denigrate BR, his playing ability or showmanship, but he did change brands only slightly less frequently than I changed my underwear.

How many players with a long and storied careers played one brand of drum kit? Keith Moon would have played Stacatto drums if he would have lived long enough to sign the contract. Who knows what Bonham would be playing today- he probably would have ended up playing DW. What would Cozy play today had he not been killed in Bristol?

I just think this guy selling the "Buddy Rich Pearl Kit" is full of something...

It's not even the correct configuration!!!! Where's the second floor tom? Dontcha think he would have insisted on kick drum mounted cymbal holders?

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Not to mention it's not even their top of the line

kit – looks like the world series. They tried to woo buddy

with their intermediate kit... yeah right DOH

My guess is that IF this kit does any shred of documentation, it would be that a Pearl rep had planned to show Buddy this kit or one similar and offer a deal. Buddy seemed to really dig his RK's and I doubt he would be persuaded by anything Pearl offered. I figured this would raise some eyebrows so I had to post it!

Yeah- if I were trying to sell "Buddy's Pearl Kit", I would at least dummy up some "documentation".

Unless someone knows something I don't (and it could be the case), I am thinking this is just another case of someone trying to sell a common, recovered drum kit as something it isn't.
