buddy rich stamped P ??????

Hi, i just bought a project snare. its a slingerland buddy rich. wood inside wrapped with metal. my question is there is the letter "P" stamped on the inside of the drum. anyone know why? the badgs and throw are still there but its missing everything else. the shell has some rust too. i poster in the wanted section too for parts if anyone has any. thanks

P is for wrap/pearl and is correct.

Also, so I can can confirm this model is it a true BR snare drum with the double lugs like on this page?

Let's get some photos of that drum! You do realize the value of it? What is the condition? So you just have the shell with no lugs?

Where did you get the drum?

Just interested since you do not see a lot of them.

yea i just got the shell with the snare throw. its got some rust.

i bought it for $10.00 at the flea market. i didnt know what it

was i just knew it said slingerland, so i thought the throw on it

had to be worth at least 10 bucks. here are some pics. what do

you think it could be worth?

Well, if you can get it to look like the Tommp version with correct era parts. then probably $400. That is knowing it is not original and if you can fix the wrap. (That looks pretty bad)

If the drum were original and the wrap was near perfect $600 +

I would be interested to see what you can do with the finish.

That snare had the option of straight (non-"stick saver") rims that Buddy preferred and used. I've seen versions with both types of rims.
