This was a most interesting thread. I was enjoying it very much.
I feel a little bit short changed.

Don't feel shortchanged nick! ... wanted to get the right info to the OP without having to wade through a lot of the flotsam and jetsam, if I may use that nautical term. He was looking for specifics, not guesses or conjecture. Truth be told, we chatted today at length and I filled him in on everything he was searching for. Once he has determined what direction he wants to go in with the new information, he will post up! BEST!!!

TommyP,
Respectfully, I am with nickmues. Many of us were waiting to hear specific factual information from YOU. If information is not freely disseminated then this site is doomed to guesses and conjecture. I for one was waiting to hear from YOU all the minute details of what may or may not make this a "Buddy played" kit. Starting a new thread could have eliminated the "flotsam and jetsam" as you call it. BTW not all the posts on that thread are guesses and conjecture.
Thank you Tommy P. for taking it the right way.
Nick
THANKS Nick! ... appreciate that you understood what I was saying! In addition...

I never said it was ALL flotsam and jetsam, or all guesses and conjecture .. and .. I have disseminated plenty of info having to do with BR and his snare drums/sets on the VDF in the past 14 years as admin/mod. Has it been 14 years? Where did THAT go?, but I digress. Anyway ... also never said the thread would REMAIN CLOSED, and that what was discussed wouldn't be put forth for all to see. What I did say was, the OP needed some facts and "provenance" on this set .. ( that there were any to be had ) .. and HE told me it was tough wading through a lot of the answers and suggestions put forth by the very helpful members on the VDF, although all of it was greatly appreciated! He was directed towards me as was another "dealer" that may or may not be interested in the set if all is as it is reputed to be. So, that all said ... I will indeed fill in the blanks on this as yeah, I would want to know too if I was reading the thread and all of a sudden ... poof! You know, in my 14 years here as admin/mod, I RARELY make editorial decisions such as this .. but .. in this case I felt it was warranted. I appreciate your comments, and that they were respectfully tendered. I shall return with more info! BEST!!!

Thank you sir. I understand. You have done, and continue to do, a great job here. Looking forward to more on BR. All the best.

That's why I sent him to you. I couldn't find your bat light ( I lol'd when he said that) We were trying to hold the fort while you were MIA. I really didn't want him to take off before you saw the thread.
You know we can't shoot straight when it comes to anything Buddy,... But we also know you can.
It's been ten whole minutes, the suspense is killing me........

Shucks ... part of the fun of some threads are the crackpot posts and conspiracy theories shedding light in darkened rooms. Not since the dawn of man has so much wonder been afforded to some few, keeping the minions occupied (and out of jail) ... until the heavy pounding begins and the shotguns are put down. This one even has Zapruder 8mm!My favorite part is the Kathy Rich cold shoulder (the a$$hole doesn't fall far from the tree now does it). This confirms mightily that the kit was indeed BR's.
Most of us got to miss the "Hole" part of the guy, but did get to see the money maker part of him.
Most of us enjoyed his money maker but never really got to know that guy played a mean coffee cup tea kettle combo, or that Spanish floor tile, in the box with an empty bucket combo.
That guy could play anything, with anything. Kathy, not so much.
