Another classic drum faux pas was the Ludwig kit used in the original Back to the Future movie. The scene was 1955, but I immediately noticed the Ludwig 781 tom holder. That style didn't come out until the late 60's. Drove me crazy!

I dunno, that Back to the Future one is kinda pedantic. They still made the effort to evoke an earlier era despite that one detail and that mount is still vintage relative to the time of filming. After all, it could have been a Ludwig Modular tube arm and triangle mount going into a power tom...

Correction JA (Jerry Allison's) kit was infact a WMP Premier &NOT a Ludwig kit if i'm not mistaken?.

I don't know which brand did he use for recordings, but those in this picture seem Ludwigs. I love his playing style, BTW.
