Browsing Reverb; navigation question

Loading...

Hello,

Like you, I enjoy browsing Reverb from time to time, as we all know there is a lot of great stuff on there (usually out of the ballpark pricing not withstanding).

I had a question about navigating on Reverb. When I search by department (Drums, of course) and I type in a search query, like "China" or Ludwig", I then click the "Used" box and then I browse the results. The problem is the same items keep repeating over and over. I'll keep seeing the same drum/cymbal/snare on every other page. Is there a way to not see these duplicate items? It would be much more efficient to not see them, taking 18 pages of stuff probably down to about 7 or 8.

Thanks for your help,

V

I think what you have is an attempt by Reverb to drive increased sales. They call it bumping. You pay additional $$ to bump your item into greater circulation. That's probably why you see some items repeatedly. Not sure, but that would be my guess.

I asked them the same question last year. They seemed to think I was exaggerating my issue. Does make it harder to sort out what you are looking for.
