Brownish 70's Supraphonic? Last viewed: 1 day ago

From surface

A quick determination and sorry for me not recalling this from a thread a few days back! A thread was opened about a muffler....and that the screw was on top....we determined that it was for a 70's supraphonic due to, if the screw was on the bottom, it would be drilled through the belt line. This being on top, can not be a Supra...

Sorry....on bottom!

Get's confusing!

That's just a repainted Supraphonic, you can tell by the spacing that there are 10 lugs. Also, Acrolites always have the strainer one panel away from the badge.

Thanks,

Bill

Then my eyes are deceiving me I guess. Just looking at the photos, I don't see the strainer in the next space away from the badge. Plus the lugs look to far apart for the drum to have 10 lugs.

Maybe I'm wrong but I agree that it's a refinished Acrolite.

Acrolite from left to right: muffler, lug, badge, lug, strainer.

Supraphonic: muffler, lug, badge, lug, (open panel), lug, strainer.

If it were 8 lugs, the strainer would be 180 degrees from the muffler, this would be the first I have ever seen.

I found the original ad: http://baltimore.craigslist.org/msg/2243611275.html

You can count 10 lugs in the pic looking down on the top rim.

I'm seeing it now .... much thanks!

When looking at my Supras, there is no way not to see five of the ten lugs from a straight on angle.

So, I looked through my camera, and sure enough, I can see only four lugs.

Something about the optics, apparently.
