Brook Mays Rogers

From johnnyringo

Here's the inside of the 14x14 floor tom, the length between each screw is 1 3/4 inches.

1-3/4" is the official center-to-center for tom lugs. I bet those bass drum lugs are also 2-5/16"!

Your kit looks cool with the YESS mounting system! I have a few non-Yamaha kits with the YESS mounts.

Brook Mays had a definitive WIN!!! when it made these lugs. Yamaha killed them. And for this reason I sold off or gave away every piece of yamaha gear I owned. I will never buy another damn thing with a yamaha label on it. NOTHING.

Damn their eyes.

So I take it the spacing is the same as vintage Rogers drums. After some new heads and a little bit of tweaking, I found the 10" tom sounds really good tuned up higher and the 14" floor tom sounds good high or low, I'm still working on the 12" tom, needs a new head. The kick is tight and punchy as you expect from a 20" kick. The maple shells really resonate, helped I'm sure by the Yamaha yess mounts. I'm thinking twice about letting them go, thanks.
