Question for the experts - were Ludwig "bow tie" lugs ever made of brass, or is this person assuming these are brass because a magnet will not stick? A magnet will not stick to pot metal either.

As far as I know, they are pot metal. Some old, OLD lugs used to be drawn brass, I think. But the Classics ( aka "Bowties) have always been diecast pot metal -"Zimac" (?)

yes previous post is correct, Ludwig bow tie lugs are die cast, and a magnet definitely want stick to it, mark
