I recently acquired a drum that has some nice brass claws and brass shell. I was cleaning the claws and the brass looks beautiful but my girlfriend told me she likes them the way they are. What do you think?

And I learned the hard way I should start with soap and water rather than brasso polish. I took the nickel plate clean off and exposed the brass shell underneath DOH
