I am not aware of a place to post a public question on an eBay listing page. The section at the bottom of the page that says "ask a question" goes through the seller and cannot be done anonymously. The seller also decides if any questions and answers will be posted on the listing. I don't know if you can even "flag" a listing as can be done on Craigslist. Anyone?
BR 4x14 on eBay - Legit?
Hmm...Wish eBay would have certain experts in certain areas to check out things such as this. Someone who can obtain the info and check with what's being sold and see if it's legit or not.

Slingerfan is correct that only the seller can post an asked question. I'm not sure it would be feasible to have eBay check with every item that MIGHT be not as advertised. It really comes down to the buyer asking questions, but it is the SELLER that needs to be honest. I think we can all agree that this particular seller is not honest!

While I wouldn't expect them to check into every claim, I think people have listed enough reasons on this one that any red flag should go up. But agreed, this guy isn't being 100%. And his lack of response is a clear indication of that. Another red flag towards it not being legit.

There IS a way to report an eBay listing. Just above the "Item Specifics" box, on the far right near the "Item Number" is a "Report Item" link. There is also additional info/posts regarding this mechanism if you click "Help & Contact" at the top of the page and enter "report an item" in the search box. The bottom line is eBay is more responsive to a buyer who reports a fraudulently listed item. In reality the only real listing error this seller made was calling the drum an early 70's (and this could probably be argued). He never claims it to be "all original" or "authentic". Very shady and dishonest.
