Boxes/shipping bass drums. Help!

Loading...

Hi All,

I need to ship a few marching bass drums. I usually ship USPS standard post [best rates I've found. Good rate up to 70lbs/108inches combined]

I know the drums will be over 108" combined, so I'll have to pay for over-size, but where and what kind of box to use??? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Just get large cardboard and make your own box. I cut and tape pieces and make a box, then once it is all packed up good, I use about a roll of duct tape wrapping the box, repeatedly, until it looks like Mum-Ra from the Thundercats..........

Depending on where you are shipping from and to you might want to check into Greyhound Package Express. I haven't heard any comments lately, but it used to be a good way to go in certain situations. www.shipgreyhound.com/
