Great looking snare. Id probably touch up the pearl plate on strainer and butt where black has come off. Cymbals look pretty neat too. Probably best selling rest on just keep snare and cymbals and a couple heads.

@seantdrums I sold the kit and brass cymbals. I kept the Sabian and I'm using it. Good cymbal.

About the Pearl plate, I tought about repainting it but will leave it as it is. It's vintage character :)

The tension rods on those what are they like. Its one snare drum i have not had the pleasure of yet. Yours looks class bet that can give anything today a run for the money. Proper drums not just a badge like todays garbage. Well done thats the sort of auctions i look out for in the UK.

@nittanyperc It's an interesting head indeed. I swaped it and kept it for myself before selling the kit. It seems to be a good looking resonant head for one of my 22" bass drums. Love the aged look. Too bad the pedal marks, but it's ok.

From JohnBonham

This snare is the heaviest snare I ever seen.

My main snare is a 5x14 non-Jupiter version. Even without the parallel mechanism it's quite heavy. It's nice & sensitive, but I know I have power to spare when I lay into it. It's literally the only snare I have up and running right now so I end up tuning it all the way from "sloppy backbeat" to "mean & snappy" depending on the gig. She has a nice growl when tuned down, probably due in part to that weight!
