I also have a Bollero set of bass and three toms. It looks very nice with it's dark and semi-sparkly theme as you can see in the pic. I've never seen a similar set.
I've had it for about 5 years now and I'm not aware how many owners there have been before me. It seems during the years some parts e.g. lugs have been replaced with non-original ones but as I'm not an expert, for me it's hard to say which are genuine and which are not. I haven't had the need to replace any parts myself.
The previous owner had tried to transform the middle-sized tom into a snare but didn't accomplish that. So the middle-one has a couple of holes drilled to it, which is a pity. I always played with two toms so it didn't matter to me at the time I bought the set.
Also, the bass drum and floor tom threads are in pretty poor condition, so they definitely require restoring.
I quit active playing few years ago and now I feel the set needs a new loving home. I believe the best it would serve a collector or someone who is interested in putting an effort in restoring it. So as above, I'm looking for someone who would appreciate the set and give it a good home.
As this thread is pretty much all you can find about Bolleros, I decided to post here first. Your help is highly appreciated.
