Well Ive finally finished refurbishing the kit and heres how it turned out

Thick signwriting vinyl. It sounds really good, the 14" floor tom is a real unique sound and for a small kick drum it sounds huge.

Looks very, very nice! Love that you're using the bass drum anchor! And, yes, the MIJ 14"s can boom when they're set up right.
