Blue Ripple drum wrap?

Loading...

I accidentally spilt ACETONE Eye Ball on my rewrapped 8x12 Star Blue Ripple tom. So yeah, it is ruined.

I originally bought this Blue Ripple wrap from Drumsandsome about 6 years ago. They don't do drum wrap anymore, so I thought I would ask anyone here if they had an old left over 1/2 sheet of Blue Ripple that would cover a 8 x 12 tom? I've been told this style of Blue Ripple is no longer made by anyone. Here's a picture of the wrap I am looking for:

Thanks!!

Check out this link to DrumMaker.com. The color is Blue Ripple Pearl. Looks like you have to buy a whole sheet, which is pricey! http://www.drummaker.net/partsguide/FMPro?-db=dm_products.fp5&-format=item-detail.htm&-lay=cgi&-sortfield=name&IDname=Pearl%20cov%20full&-max=16&-recid=40683&-token.0=3759469792&-find=

I know this is painful but,

Could we see what acetone does to wrap.

Pic of damage, if you can stand it?

Is polishing (NOVUS) out of the question?

You are not alone. I have also given unneeded chemical baths.

Our Custom Shop can make a pretty close match if you can't find the same wrap anywhere. http://walopus.com/custom-shop-drum-wrap

Thank you guys! It was actually Andy at DrumMaker that told me my blue ripple was no longer made. The wrap he is selling looks very close, but yes, I would have to order a whole sheet.

St Drums is looking really good for almost all my needs. They even have smaller grommets for early 60s Premiers too. Rare indeed!

I can't even bring myself to look at the tom wrap I ruined let alone show the rest of you. I tried NOVUS and a 3M finishing compound and neither worked. It's just a hazy smear splotch now. CryBaby

Thanks again!
